Work through these checks before ordering a part. Always switch the sauna off at the breaker before you open a vent or the control box.
- Confirm the cabin has power and that the breaker has not tripped.
- Remove the grille and look for dust, lint or a loose screw jamming the blades.
- Spin the blade by hand: a gritty or stiff bearing means the motor is finished.
- Inspect the connector and wiring for heat marks, brittle insulation or a loose spade terminal.
- Listen for a hum without rotation - the motor is getting power, but the bearing or the capacitor has failed.
- If the fan runs through a speed controller or a relay, have a qualified electrician test the fan with the controller bypassed.
